I attended the Arizona Content Retreat hosted by Lauren and Jeni and wow - what an experience!
Firstly, the main location was amazing. A luxury house in the Arizona desert was home base and it was incredible. Top of the range accommodation with a pool and all inclusive meals in a place with stunning views of the desert.
Lauren and Jeni were extremely friendly and helpful and had organised a retreat that has given me Content for years! Twice a day there were organised photo shoots in different locations with different dress themes and horses. We shot everything from vintage, classy and coastal cowgirl styles with majestic horses and even went to a barn to shoot a reining professional at work along with stunning models.
It was a great opportunity to shoot and experiment as there was no pressure to deliver to a client and it was so fun! What a seriously fun time that gave me the opportunity to take so many brilliant photos and to network with other photographers.
I traveled from Australia specifically for this retreat and I feel that it was money and time well spent. I highly recommend Lauren and Jeni's Content retreats and can't wait to attend another one in the future!

Jeni and Lauren did a commendable job putting this together. Logistically, the outfits, models, locations, and everything were perfect.

Jeni and Lauren had phenomenal visions of what they wanted for each of the shoots and it showed immediately when the horses/girls would arrive and we saw what they were wearing or the locations we were in. I love love loved Arizona so much! The lighting was always so amazing and the colors! The biggest thing I gained from these retreats was confidence, realizing nothing you can say or a pose you want to try is stupid. That the clients are just as excited as the Photographers to be involved. My patience has really grown as well. I've always been a fairly patient person but when the vision I have in my head doesn't go the way I would like it, I'd stress about it. Now if something doesn't go, just flow to the next thing, it'll be ok!
I would absolutely recommend these retreats to other photographers! Everything you can think of happens, different lighting situations, locations, the insane amount of different horses and clients that Jeni and Lauren were able to find was so crazy! I was always thinking in Washington we're almost done and then nope! Here comes some more, it was great!

When Jeni Jo Photography and Lauren Ann Photo announced they were having a content retreat, I was excited to hear about it, as I’d been following and admiring them both for a while and knew it would be amazing! The fact that it was only a 3 hour drive from my house clinched the deal, and I was not disappointed!
The locations they chose, the light, the models, the horses, the scenes they staged for us, and every participant were all amazing. As I really want to focus on brand photography in the future, I especially appreciated that Jeni and Lauren brought along a lot of different products to use with the models so we could practice brand photography and add more amazing brand images to our portfolios.
Being fairly new to offering photography in my business, I was excited to build up my portfolio and make some new connections and friends in the industry. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly and willingly shared their knowledge and experience to help all the attendees grow and take better photos.
I highly recommend their retreats and am looking forward to attending another one in the future!
